Frederique Constant is a manufacturer of luxury wrist watches based in Geneva. The company was established in 1988 by Dutch entrepreneur Peter Stas and his wife, Aletta Stas-Bax. In a short time, they have grown into one of the larger, more prominent Swiss watch manufacturers, reputed for offering luxury watches of the highest quality in a price range accessible to watch lovers. In 2002, to diversify the Frédérique Constant group, Stas and his wife acquired Alpina Watches, a manufacturer of Swiss sports watches. In 2011, the company stated that it expected to continue to grow at a brisk pace, doubling in size every 3 years.
